Some of you out there are new to the world of Legs, so I think it's best I introduce you to Legs with a picture of what Legs are:

Lolly (q=98) provides S-tier Regulation Legs.

What Defines Legs

Regulation Legs Criterion

To qualify as Legs, a set of criteria must be met (henceforth known as RLC-010).

  1. The feline MUST be in direct contact with the legs of their human companion, and
  2. The feline MUST be rumbly and relaxed and receptive to scritches and a good girl, and
  3. The feline SHOULD be sniffy when presented with Fingers (a page on Fingers will be created in the future,) and
  4. The feline MAY curl their feetsies, at their discretion;
  5. Finally, the feline must be within the acceptable measurements for feline legs classification, a set of standard measurements that disqualifies cats which are too large to comfortably fit between a set of Legs.

The Regulation Legs Criterion standard (RLC-010) is managed by the Feline Legs Committee. <[email protected]>

Legs Implications

Goodness

Cats which perform legs regularly are considered Good cats. Cats which do not, or are unable to qualify as "Legs," are not allowed to be considered Good under RLC-010.

Quality

Leg performance is considered a major part of cat quality. As such, the frequency and quality of legs impacts your cat's rating immensely.

Pets

Cats which give legs receive a higher number of pets and scritches than cats that do not, according to studies performed by the Feline Legs Committee.

Invalid Legs

Not all instances of a cat around or even contacting legs is able to qualify as legs. It is important to consider the RLC-010 criterion before declaring that your cat is giving Legs.

On the Left: You see a cat who is comfortable, relaxed, pampered
On the right: A cat that is terrified, uncomfortable, flummoxed
On the Left: You see a cat that is sized "Just Right" for legs, according to the RLC committee.
On the right: A cat that is fed constantly and out of control. This cat is barely able to fit between two human legs.
On the left: A cat with a beautiful shiny coat that is very soft and lovely.
On the right: A cat with a coarse matte coat that is knotted and not suitable for petting.

As you can see, without proper guidelines, it's difficult to keep these "imposter" legs from flooding the market. Not all legs are made the same!
